This zero-travel rear design matters most for urban commuters, casual weekend riders and anyone who prioritizes weight savings, low maintenance and efficiency over off-road capability. If you’re threading through city streets, tackling bike-paths or hauling groceries in a rear rack or panniers, the rigidity translates into a more direct power transfer and fewer parts to worry about. However, riders planning to explore singletrack trails, forest tracks or highly uneven terrain may find that a bike with at least 80 mm of rear suspension offers a noticeably more forgiving ride.
