Conversely, riders who prefer a workout-oriented ride can simply dial back to PAS levels 1 through 3 and still benefit from smooth, responsive engagement.

This above-average PAS rating matters most for daily commuters tackling hilly routes or weekend explorers planning extended rides. Those who frequently carry cargo or pedal with a passenger will appreciate the extra boost at PAS 5, while casual riders may rarely need the top setting but still benefit from having it available when conditions demand.
