The ENGWE P20 comes with a rigid front fork, which means there’s no suspension cushioning up front. A rigid fork also tends to be simpler in design—fewer moving parts mean less upkeep and a lighter overall feel at the front end.

With no suspension travel, the P20’s front end channels input and feedback straight through, offering crisp handling on smooth pavement. On well-paved streets, paved bike paths, or flat urban environments, the rigid setup keeps you efficiently rolling and responsive in tight turns. However, it won’t absorb shocks on rough or uneven terrain, so if your route includes gravel tracks, rutted backroads, or frequent potholes, you’ll feel each jolt more keenly.

Rigid front forks are a common choice for riders focused on commuting, city cruising, and low-maintenance simplicity. If your daily loop sticks to asphalt or well-groomed paths, you’ll benefit from the P20’s direct steering and minimal service needs. Those who prioritize off-road comfort or spend long days in the saddle on bumpy surfaces may prefer a model with built-in suspension instead.
