From the Manual — Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Essential
The LED on the charger changes from red (charging) to green (trickle charge) when the scooter is fully charged.
The scooter will keep beeping and remain limited to 10 km/h until it is activated in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app.
Scan the QR code to download the app, open Mi Home/Xiaomi Home, tap “+” on the upper right, follow prompts to add your device, and complete the on-screen activation instructions.
With the scooter powered off, use a 4 mm Allen key to loosen the screw on the caliper, adjust the exposed length of the brake line to increase or decrease tightness, then retighten the screw.
Unscrew the valve cap, connect the extension nozzle to the tire valve stem, then attach your pump to inflate the tire.
When you lock the scooter via the app, the motor locks, the headlight turns off, and a lock icon appears on the control panel. Unlock it by using the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app or by entering the scooter password if set.
In the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, tap “More Settings” > “Set password.” Without a password set, any phone with the app can unlock your scooter, so set it as soon as possible.
You should wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads for safety when riding the scooter.
Hold the handlebar stem, turn it counterclockwise to open the safety hook and quick-release lever, align and hook the bell to the buckle, then carry it by the stem and disengage the bell lever from the mudguard.
Keep your speed between 5–10 km/h when riding through speed bumps, elevator door sills, bumpy roads or other uneven surfaces, and slightly bend your knees to absorb shocks.
Fold the handlebar stem up, install the handlebar onto the stem, then tighten the screws on both sides of the stem using the T-shape Allen key.
