Ausom DT2 Pro: High-Performance Scooter with 115 km Range
At USD 1,099, the Ausom DT2 Pro stakes its claim as a performance-focused electric scooter that doesn’t skimp on portability. Behind its muscular 2,912 W dual hub motors and 1,217 Wh battery lies an official range of 115 km and a top speed of 68 km/h—numbers that impress on paper. But what sets the DT2 Pro apart is its dual suspension system and 33.5 kg curb weight, striking a balance between high-octane riding and manageable handling. While a 12-hour charge time requires planning, riders craving long-distance commutes or weekend adventures will appreciate its 24-month warranty and IP54 water resistance. Compared to similarly priced models, the DT2 Pro delivers above-average portability (score 9.5) and value (9.2), though its comfort score (4.0) reflects firmer rides. Ideal for urban commuters who can handle a slightly rigid ride in exchange for long-range freedom.
Real-World Range Factors
The Ausom DT2 Pro’s 1,217 Wh battery promises up to 115 km per charge, but real-world range depends on variables like rider weight, terrain, and riding style. Heavier riders or hilly routes can reduce distance by 15–20%, while cruising at lower speeds and using eco mode optimizes efficiency. With 33.5 kg curb weight and dual hub motors totaling 2,912 W, expect around 90–100 km in mixed urban riding. Factoring in IP54 water resistance and regenerative braking can slightly extend practical range during daily commutes.
Balancing Performance and Portability
At 33.5 kg, the DT2 Pro maintains a portability score of 9.5, making it easier to carry than many performance scooters that tip over 40 kg. Its 2,912 W dual motors and top speed of 68 km/h deliver thrilling acceleration, while dual suspension and pneumatic tires provide control over uneven roads. Despite a comfort score of 4.0, riders seeking a lightweight package that still hits 115 km range will find the DT2 Pro’s 1,217 Wh battery and IP54 rating a winning combination for city commutes and weekend escapes.
