However, it isn’t designed for full immersion or for withstanding heavy, sustained downpours.

With IP54 protection, occasional wet-weather commuting is well covered. You’ll want to avoid deep water crossings, high-pressure jets of water, or leaving the scooter out in a torrential storm overnight—conditions that exceed what an IP54 seal can handle. Regular rinsing under a garden hose or riding through flooded streets can eventually compromise seals and internal circuitry.

This level of water resistance matters most for urban and suburban riders who encounter variable weather but don’t plan to ride through serious flooding or wash the scooter with powerful jets.
