The NANROBOT D4+MAX carries an IP54 ingress-protection rating, which means its core components are guarded against a moderate level of dust ingress and against water splashes from any direction. In practical terms, you can ride through light rain or dusty streets without worrying about grit clogging up the electronics or brief splashes shorting out the motor. The scooter is not fully waterproof, however, so it won’t tolerate being submerged or blasted with high-pressure water.

This level of sealing lets you tackle everyday conditions—morning dews, sidewalk puddles and unpaved lanes—with more confidence than an unprotected model. You can hose off the D4+MAX by hand or wipe it down after a damp ride, but you should steer clear of deep water crossings, heavy downpours or steam-cleaning methods that exceed gentle splashing.

Riders who commute in climates prone to occasional showers or those who travel through dusty urban streets will appreciate the extra peace of mind that IP54 protection provides. If you frequently ride in extreme wet or muddy off-road environments, however, you’ll want to consider a scooter with a higher water-resistance rating.
