Frequently Asked Questions — Segway GT1
Before riding, download and install the Segway-Ninebot app by scanning the QR code or visiting www.segway.com, then connect to your scooter via Bluetooth and follow the on-screen prompts to activate it.
Press the Power Button once to power on the scooter and press and hold the Power Button to power it off (only available when the scooter is unlocked).
Rotate the Right Control Switch clockwise or counterclockwise to cycle through PARK, ECO, SPORT, and RACE modes. If the scooter enters PARK mode automatically, press the Power Button to return to the previous speed mode.
When the scooter is at a complete stop, press the Right Control Switch to enter WALK mode; press the switch again to return to the previous speed mode.
In ECO, SPORT, or RACE mode at speeds above 3.1 mph, press the Left Control Switch to turn on cruise mode; press it again, twist the throttle, squeeze a brake lever, or switch speed modes to turn cruise off.
In RACE mode, press the Right Control Switch to activate BOOST, then press it again or switch speed modes to turn BOOST off.
Rotate the damper Adjustment Knob clockwise to increase rebound resistance (S) for a slower rebound, or counterclockwise to decrease resistance (F) for a faster rebound.
Use the Segway-Ninebot app to lock or unlock the scooter. When locked, the screen goes dark after 3 seconds and an alarm sounds if the scooter is moved; press the Power Button to wake the screen and reconnect via Bluetooth to unlock.
The error code symbol indicates the scooter has detected an error and will display a code on the dashboard; refer to page 8 of the manual for possible causes and solutions.
Press the left or right side of the Turn Signal Button to blink the corresponding signal three times, or press and hold to keep the turn signal blinking until you release the button.
