The Ausom DT2 Pro carries an IP54 rating, meaning its enclosure is dust-protected (though not fully dust-tight) and can withstand water sprayed from any direction at low pressure. In practice, this lets you ride through light rain, puddle splashes, or damp streets without worrying about water seeping into vital electrical components. However, it is not designed for heavy downpours, power-washing, or submersion—prolonged exposure to strong jets of water or deep standing water could still cause damage.

For most urban commuters and casual riders, IP54 strikes a useful balance: it guards against everyday moisture hazards like mist, drizzle, and road spray, helping ensure reliable performance in changing weather. It also means you won’t need to rush to a sheltered spot when a sudden shower starts, or fret about sidewalk sprinklers as you glide past.

That said, riders who frequently tackle muddy trails, wash their scooter under pressure, or want full peace of mind in torrential conditions may find IP54’s protection limits a bit restricting. For typical city use—where the main concerns are light rain and dust—this level of ingress protection will cover the vast majority of daily riding scenarios.
