In practical terms, IP54 lets you commute on damp streets and deal with road spray or drizzle without worrying about short-circuits or corrosion. You can hose off the deck gently after a muddy spin, and incidental splashes won’t trip a fault. At the same time, the rating stops short of full waterproofing—you’ll want to avoid heavy downpours, riding through deep water, or directing a high-pressure wash at the scooter’s internals.

This level of protection suits urban riders who face unpredictable weather and occasional wet roads but don’t plan to blast through flooded streets or wash the scooter with a power washer.
